Due to the pandemic, the theatre department was not allowed to have fully realized productions.  Since we had limited tech in our staged readings, we altered the class to a welding workshop for the semester. As a result, I came up with basic MIG welding exercises and developed a final project I met with the student(s) once a week for an hour. During that time, we covered basic welding techniques, basic welding joints, safety protocols, and practiced welding. For the final project, they used their creativity and welding skills to fabricate a piece.
